Shelter will be on view in the Project Room from October 3 – 31. Several of the participating artists and the curator from City of Talents will be present during the preview.
What does shelter mean today?
In a world marked by constant change, uncertainty, and upheaval, the need for refuge has never been greater. Shelter can take many forms – spiritual, emotional, physical, or purely imaginary. It is a space where we pause, protect, and rebuild. It is both a sanctuary and a state of mind.
The exhibition Shelter brings together ten international and emerging artists, each exploring the concept of refuge through their own artistic language. Their works open up a dialogue about protection, intimacy, resilience, and the fragile boundaries between isolation and connection. Paintings and sculptures unfold as poetic sanctuaries – spaces where viewers can seek moments of quiet, reflection, and emotional resonance.
The participating artists are: Yool Kim (KR), Clément Bedel (FR), Lucas Noguera (FR), Alena Olyasuk (UA), Marie Boyer (FR), Erin Bird (UK), Amela Rasi (DE), Martha Zmpounou (UK), Emma Larsson (SE), Jules Be Kuti (FR)
